A curated scrapbook

Making space for seeing the world a little differently

ABOUT

A space for showcasing image craft and experiment with pushing boundaries. We Explore handmade photography, experimental processes, and the work of artists who embrace character over perfection.

ISSUES

INTRO

This Lens Punk thing started as Dom's personal practice in making camera equipment. Interest and support started coming from the photography, art and surf community - this really helped to keep pushing on and experimenting, resulting in some great friendships, equipment and images being made.

NOW

I'm thinking how to build this scrapbook - A mix between a blog or zine. I want to create something hand crafted, while also making it accessible to everyone.

WHY

For a while I've been unsure at what form this idea should take. Print media and zines sounds like something people really enjoy and value in the community, with many great print publications being made recently. This left me wondering about the current digital space, and if we can build something handmade, ad-free, slow, considered and meaningful online..?

WHAT IS THIS

A scrapbook; a hybrid of analog and digital work. Mixing digital publishing with cut-and-paste layouts.

It will show and share ideas, images and stories, from my self and friends in the community - with the hope to build something beautiful.

NEXT

I would like this to become a community collaboration. Going forward I will start to make a few sample pages - showing the ideas I have and how it works.

Starting in 2026 the scrapbook will begin to feature friends, artists, photographers and writers (both professional and hobbyist).

If you would like to get involved - email me with your questions, suggestions and ideas for submissions, Thanks for reading, Lens Punk.
