What I'm working on right now

Updated December 2025

December's been productive. We just launched Renato Ghio's feature and today Michelle Hickling's essay "Freedom through constraint" goes live in the new Essays section. It's good to see other voices showing up here.

Behind the scenes, I'm working on two things in parallel. First, building an online shop for prints and zines - the way to keep this space sustainable and ad-free. Second, a new image series I've been shooting. More on that soon.

I'm also in early development on a primitive box camera project, something inspired by the most basic photographic tools. Still early days, but I'll start documenting the build process in Dom's Journal come 2026.

The challenge right now is bringing everything together - the camera making, the photography, the community building - and making it work as one sustainable project. That's what this scrapbook is becoming.

Time to build.
