Postcards

Following the YTBS practice

In my last entry I talked about a regular practice. This entry is about how I'm looking to share that work as it develops.

Starting Monday, April 6th, 2026, I'll release the first group of BTS images, and this will hopefully continue after. The details — how often, how many — are still being figured out. This is an experiment in sharing the work in progress and in a physical form. These will be available on a dedicated gallery (link shared here and on Instagram when it goes live).

The Practice

THE APPROACH

The postcard images will mostly come from small format cameras (35mm and 110). Work in progress, behind the scenes and practice shots.

New cards will appear as they're made. Starting with no fixed schedule, just my honest work as it develops.

Each card is an edition of 2 — one available to send, the other is for my working archive.

Postcards are printed, numbered, and signed. Sent with a short message on the back.

The Work

WHY POSTCARDS

Postcard prints feel right for work in progress. The printed size and tactile images to work with (with room on the reverse for hand written notes).

As the series develops, I will begin selecting images and curating sets that work together. The working archive allows me to curate and play with the images — seeing what works together and check the notes for what I was thinking at that time, helping choose what might become part of the final series.

Some of these images will end up in the final YTBS series. Others may be the only copy ever printed, making them rare or collectible.

THE DETAILS

Ships worldwide. Postcards are sent in a thin paper envelope for a little extra protection during their journey.

These are sent via standard mail, so they may show some wear from their travels — that's part of the experience. The postcards go on their own journey to reach you.

Stamp placed on the envelope, edition number and message on the back of the card.

Price: $10 worldwide (flat rate), shipping included.

Between now and April, I'm taking the first images and testing the workflow. Things will change as I learn what works.

Thanks for reading. I hope you follow along.
